Dreaming my Fire

I first got to know about Amazon's Kindle in 9th grade, about six-seven years back. (There wasn't a Kindle Fire then.) I loved it and really wanted one. However, delivering to my country was a pain so I always hesitated before pressing "Buy" and unfortunately, I never did.

Every time I got around to the idea of buying it, I would always be swayed by other gadgets (I'm a complete gadget nutter!) and then this year, I finally decided that this was it! This was the year I would finally get my Kindle.

I made elaborate plans with my friend living in the US to buy one and bring it with her when she came home next. I called her at odd hours and annoyed the daylights out of her. (It's a wonder we're still friends).

Then in a flash, my Dad announced that he was going for a business trip to the US. You can imagine the joy! I was initially aiming for the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite but the day my Dad was scheduled to leave the US was the day before it was getting launched in Best Buy and the rest of America. So my Dad made the decision for me and bought the Fire instead...

...which I loved at first sight and have been loving since then!
