Published: Jan 23, 2024

In this article I'm going to review my Soundcore by Anker Sport X10 True Wireless Bluetooth 5.2 Headphones (Amazon) and explain just why I love them.

Not only are they fab for enjoying music and videos through my Fire tablet, but they're the best headphones I've ever used for workouts, too.

Read on to discover everything you need to know about Anker's Soundcore 's Sport X10 model and why I think they're excellent value for money.

I've had my Soundcore  Sport X10 headphones for just over a year now, yet it suddenly dawned on me the other day that I'd never reviewed them here on my site.

While they're not specifically made for Fire tablets, they work with them brilliantly.

So I thought it was about time I shared my opinion so you could consider them if you're looking for a way to make listening to music or videos a lot more enjoyable.

Let's take a look at the benefits of using them.

Soundcore 2

Sound Quality

Let me start off by saying I'm not an audiophile by any means.

I just like better sound for my music and movies than my Fire provides, and enjoy a nice bit of bass when working out as I find it very motivating.

For me, the Soundcore by Anker Sport X10 True Wireless Earbuds more than meet these needs.

The bass is every bit as rich as I'd hoped (especially when you amp it up with the optional bass boost feature) and the sound quality is fantastic.

Of course, this is what the Anker brand is known for, but I hadn't expected these headphones to sound quite so good at this price point.

In fact my teenage son - who had splashed out quite a bit more on earbuds from a certain company with a 'fruity' name - was pretty disgruntled to find that my budget-friendly buds sound just as good!

You can control the equalizer in the app (more on that later) to customize the sound just the way you like.

Noise Cancellation

If you're looking for headphones that completely block out all sound, then these might not be quite what you're looking for.

Nevertheless, I find the Soundcore Sport X10 Earbuds great for cutting out most background noise, mostly thanks to how snugly they fit into your ear canals.

This makes for a very immersive listening experience, which is just what you want when you're enjoying a movie on your Fire tablet.

Connectivity and Battery Life

Equipped with Bluetooth 5.2, these headphones are quick and easy to pair with your Fire tablet.

What's more, I find the connection to be very stable, which keeps audio lag and dropouts to a minimum.

The battery life is fab, making the earphones ideal for long workouts or travel.

You get 8 hours of runtime from the buds themselves, and an additional 24 hours from the case, providing up to a very impressive 32 hours overall (the exact time will depend on factors like the volume level you use).

Charging is via the supplied USB-C-to-USB-A cable, which connects to the USB-C port on the back of the case.

There are LED indicators on the front of the case to tell you how much juice your batteries have left, and you can also check the battery status in the app (for which you'll need your phone) when the headphones are connected.

Design and Comfort

This, my friends, is what sets the  Soundcore by Anker Sport X10 True Wireless Bluetooth 5.2 Headphones apart from other models.

And - believe me - I've tried LOADS.

These earphones feature a swivelling ear-hook design, which is just as it sounds - you simply hook them over your ears!

You might think this sounds uncomfortable, but the hooks are so flexible and soft that you can't feel them at all.

Yet they hold the earbuds firmly in place, whether you're watching streamed content or putting them through their paces during a fast-paced cardio workout.

Soundcore 5Modeled by yours truly!

Traditional over-the-ear earphones tend to be too bulky and warm for wearing during exercise, whereas I find that most in-ear buds move or fall out very easily.

If you want a secure pair that won't budge no matter what, the Sport X10 Headphones take some beating!

Other great design features include the compact, easy-to-open case that slips easily into your pocket, and the soft ear tips (the parts that actually sit in your ear canal).

I've worn these continuously for hours - without any discomfort at all - and you get a total of 5 different sizes to choose from, so you're guaranteed a perfect fit.

Waterproofing

Anker's Sport X10 True Wireless Bluetooth 5.2 Headphones have a waterproof rating of  IPX7.

This means that they can withstand exposure to water of up to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes, meaning you can safely wear them in rain, snow, or even the shower!

They're also protected against perspiration during exercise, which is very important if you'll be using them for this purpose.

Controls

These are my least favorite feature.

Unlike most earbuds, the Sport X10s have physical control buttons instead of touch sensors. Normally, this is something I'd prefer.

But these buttons are truly TINY, so not everyone will find them easy to manage.

On the plus side, you can customize exactly what the buttons do in the app, and - admittedly - I got used to their small size pretty quickly.

But it's something to bear in mind if you have any difficulties with finger dexterity.

Companion App

The good news is that these headphones have a Soundcore companion app, in which you can adjust the equalizer, customize the control buttons, install updates, and switch between ANC on/off and Transparency modes.

It also has a cool breath-training exercise that you might find useful for working out.

The bad news?

You'll have to install the app on your phone, as it's not available in the Amazon App Store.

While this doesn't affect the usefulness of the headphones in any way - and doesn't mean you'll need your phone to use them - it would have been nicer have access to the app right from your Fire.

Final Thoughts

The compatibility of these headphones with Fire tablets makes them a versatile accessory for both fitness and entertainment purposes.

And the best news of all?

They're some of the most budget-friendly earbuds out there, yet they offer features comparable to high-end models selling for twice the price or more!

If you're looking for easy-to-use wireless headphones with great sound and battery life - plus a unique design that stays securely in place throughout the most vigorous movements - you won't be disappointed with Soundcore by Anker's Sport X10 True Wireless Bluetooth 5.2 Headphones.
