2011 was an exciting year. I moved to Savannah, GA, started a new teaching position and for Christmas received my Kindle Fire! It was a gift from my future in-laws and I was so surprised!
I began using my Fire immediately. I downloaded games and apps and some books. I purchased screen protectors and a stylus to help protect it. It was my favorite thing for awhile. Then, honestly, it lost its luster. I didn't have as much time to read. I didn't have as much money to buy books. I loved it but wasn't using it as much.
I discovered free books for Kindle. I discovered Kindle daily that lets me know about low cost or free books daily. I have even downloaded books for my kids. I also found out that I can purchase my books for school in Kindle format. I also discovered that I can send documents or website information to my Kindle.
I am reignited and fired up again about my Kindle. I still feel it is a better purchase than a Nook or tablet. I have discovered this website to give me even more tips about getting the most out of my Kindle.
If you are considering one, it is great! Don't hesitate!
Katie, this is a great story! I find I have little time to read ebooks (what with all the Kindle Fire stuff I'm doing for my website, Facebook page, and all the emails I've received). However, I'm determined to finish the classic novel, Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austin.
It's one of my favorites and is a free ebook you can download. Most of the classics are free, due to being in the public domain, which is really cool.
I need to write some articles on how to find free ebooks, as there are several options out there.
I'm so glad you're "fired up" again and loving your Kindle Fire once more!
Thanks for sharing your fun story with us. -Rachel
